2007 Chrysler Pacifica ABS Control Module Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Properly Install an ABS Control Module on 2007 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: Before installing the ABM, first check that the seal around its mating edge is free from defects. Rid the surfaces meant for mating of any dirt and particles near both the antilock brake module and the HCU. Know that harming the pressure sensor during installation means you will need to replace the HCU. Make sure the ABM solenoids and pump/motor wiring are directly below the three HCU valves and their wiring passage, then slide the ABM onto the HCU. Attach the ABM to the HCU with four screws, tightening them to a force of 6 Nm or 53 in. lbs. Breaking down the process, put the release lever fully upward, slide the connector onto the ABM socket and then push the release lever below so it locks onto the socket. After that, fit the connector for the ABM wiring into its socket on the ABM and attach the negative battery cable to the battery post once again. At last, use the scan tool to start ABM, remove any existing faults, carry out an ABS Verification Test and do a proper test drive on the road.
