  A: The heater core tubes should not be taken out, put back into place or handled separately, since this could lead to leaks and put you in danger. Slot the heater core (6) into the front section of the driver's air distribution housing (3), aligning the heater core tubes (8) with the flange. After that, connect the heater core retaining bracket (4) to the air distribution housing with two screws (5) and tighten them to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.). Put the foam seal (1) over the flange of the heater core tubes and sound cover and attach the tubes to the HVAC housing (7) in front using the plastic retainer (2). Join the HVAC housing unit, reattach the negative battery cable and if you're replacing the heater core, clean the cooling system.
