2008 Chrysler Pacifica A/C Condenser Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Properly Detach an A/C Condenser from a 2008 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: Clear the refrigerant from the system before trying to remove the A/C condenser. First, remove the negative cable from the battery and then remove the radiator cover panel plus the front fascia. Take out the retaining pins that hold the air seals on the radiator end air seals and the front of the A/C condenser, recording where they all go for later installation. Separate the wire harness connector from the sensor that senses ambient temperature on the left side of the A/C condenser, lift its retainer off and remove the sensor. Separate the cooler lines linking the transmission to the A/C condenser cooling area and put plugs or tape in each open part or fitting. Take out the securing bolt on the left of the A/C condenser and then the nut that holds the A/C discharge line to the right side. Take off the A/C discharge line and throw out the O-ring seal and gasket. Come out S87 tear the bolt holding the A/C condenser to the radiator from the right side, then take out the nut joining the liquid line to the right side of the A/C condenser. Take out the liquid line from the A/C and get rid of its O-ring seal and gasket and once more seal and tape over the opened refrigerant line fittings and condenser ports. Half lift the A/C condenser to detach each lower condenser bracket from the mounting tabs on the engine side of the radiator, then carefully drag it forward and pull it down slowly out of the front of the engine compartment.
