How to Safely Service a Blower Motor Resistor on 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

For safe blower motor resistor servicing, cut off the negative telephone connection. If the blower motor resistor has been on, let it cool for at least five minutes before trying anything else. Do not use the blower motor by itself, as it can hurt the system of your vehicle. Remove the passenger side cowl grille screen first, then get the blower motor resistor out by pulling it straight from its place in the dash to snap open any retaining tabs. After that, release the connector lock and remove the wire harness connector from the blower motor resistor.
