2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser Oil Pan Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove the Oil Pan from an Engine on 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser?
A: First, lift the vehicle on a hoist, release the engine oil and then take out the oil filter. After that, remove the accessory drive belt splash shield. If your vehicle is turbocharged, take out the turbocharger a little, unbolt the cooler connectors, but don't disconnect the coolant, then put the oil cooler into its new place. Pull out the structural collar, remove the lower torque strut and lose the oil filter adapter and the gasket. Afterwards, unscrew the oil pan and gasket and then clean the oil pan as well as everything on the gaskets.
