How to Service and Repair a Wiper Motor on 2008 Dodge Caliber?

When servicing or fixing the front wiper motor, disconnect the battery's negative cable first. Remove the wiper module which is located at the front (1), off the vehicle. Using two large screwdrivers, carefully work them around the ball stud on the driver crank arm and the socket on the passenger side wiper link. Gently pry the two together until the socket unsnaps from the ball. After that, take out the sleeve bushing (2) attached to the driver side wiper drive link from the ball stud on the wiper motor crank arm. After that, take out the two screws (2) holding the motor bracket (4) to the module bracket (1). Removing the last two are done by pulling out the wiper motor and crank arm unit (5) from the module bracket's underside.
