- Q: How to Service and Repair a Blend Door Actuator on 2008 Dodge Sprinter 2500?A: Place the rear recirculation door actuator on the left side of the rear evaporator housing above the vehicle and then hook up the wire harness connector carefully so as not to injure the plastic alignment pin on the housing. Position the actuator around the rear evaporator housing, turning it so the spline fits into the recirculation-air door and the actuator matches the plastic pin. Put two screws into the actuator, tightening them to keep them secure at 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.). Now, fit the rear evaporator insulator above the rear evaporator and secure it with its cover below, all held in place by tightening 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.) retaining screws. Attach the cover bracket to the rear condenser bracket and fasten all four retaining bolts tightly. After that, install a nut and bolt to secure the rear A/C suction line to the rear condenser cover bracket, with the nut tightly secure. Then, install the rear cover over the condenser, fix it in place with the correct retaining screws torqued to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.), reattach the negative battery cable and begin the Actuator Calibration function using a scan tool.
