To start the job, first cut off the air bag power by removing and hanging the battery cable from the negative line. Then, wait for about two minutes for the air bag capacitor to empty. To stop air bags from unintentionallydeploying and causing injury or death, you must unplug them during cleaning. AC heater controls for an ATC A usually are not interchangeable with different vehicles; use only the appropriate control for the model being repaired. Connect and isolate the black battery cable by taking off the connector. Then, take the center bezel off the instrument panel and set it down on a workbench. Remove the screws that hold the electronic vehicle information center and the A/C-heater control to the center bezel. Take out the controls after that.
