How to Remove and Service an Evaporator Core on 2008 Jeep Commander?

Removing the HVAC housing is the first thing to do when you need to service and repair the evaporator core. Break down the outer part of the HVAC system as needed to reach the A/C evaporator under the rubber seal, then lift the A/C evaporator and insulator gently from inside the housing. Be sure to change the lower half HVAC seal if you find it damaged or misshapen when you remove it. Should the situation call for it, unmount the insulator from your A/C evaporator and change it if anything appears wrong with it.
