2008 Jeep Wrangler Exhaust Pipe Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install an Exhaust Pipe on 2008 Jeep Wrangler?
A: Align the exhaust pipe and catalytic converter in your vehicle and send the exhaust pipe hanger through the transmission support. The distance between the exhaust system and the bodywork should not be less than 25mm (1 inch). Fix the muffler to the catalytic converter flange using 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.) for each retaining nut and use 31 Nm (23 ft. lbs.) for the exhaust pipe to exhaust manifold bolts. Fit an oxygen sensor into each of the exhaust pipe and catalytic converter and link their connectors together. Bring the vehicle down until it sits properly, start it up and check for any leaks and do the needed repairs. Also, look near all the exhaust parts to see if there are any contacts with body panels and adjust accordingly.
