How to Service and Repair a Brake Proportioning Valve on 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Bring the brake pedal to its first one inch (25 mm) using a brake pedal holder and with it still depressed, don't let any brake fluid to drain into the master cylinder reservoir by isolating the master cylinder. If you want to access the lower left rear proportioning valve more easily, disconnect and move aside the air cleaner cover and hose to the throttle body. Then, disconnect four-to-five brake tube 4 or 5 from the proportioning valve to take out and, once done, unscrew the proportioning valve 1 or 3 from the master cylinder 2.
