How to Safely Detach a Rear Shock Absorber on 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Before you remove the rear shock absorber, raise and support the vehicle and then unscrew the wheel nuts and take off the tire and wheel. Place a transmission jack or an equal tool under the axle's center, raise it to the point where it can hold the axle. After that, take out the shock absorber lower mounting bolt (5), the connected nut (7) and the washer (6) on the axle (4). After that, remove the upper bolt (1) at the body bracket (3) and remove the shock (2) from the vehicle.
