How to Maintain a Sway Bar Bushing in the Rear Suspension on 2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

First, raise your vehicle and place it on support stands. Take out the three bolts holding the sway bar bushing retainers to the rear axle. Pull each side of the retainer from its slot in the axle and let the bar hang down. Bend down the crimped tab at the top which holds the bushing sides together and then take apart the two halves of the retainer. In the end, pull the bushing off the sway bar by using the attached slit in the side of the bushing.
