How to Maintain the A/C Clutch on 2009 Dodge Journey?

To service the A/C compressor clutch, remove negative battery cable, lift up the vehicle then release the splash shield and accessory drive belt. Unplug the wire harness, slip the compressor back into place, and unhook the connector of the field coil carefully. Snap ring pliers are used to remove the field coil, pulley, shim and clutch plate.
