Be sure to disconnect the negative battery cable, then wait two minutes before touching any service points on the steering wheel, column or instrument panel, to make sure there is no accidental air bag discharge that might cause harm. Protect the front face of the center instrument panel bezel while you are working on the car. Cut off the negative battery cable and then detach the middle bezel and lay it on a cleaning surface. After that, unscrew the A/C-heater control from the back of the center bezel and take it out.
