2009 Jeep Commander Brake Disc Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Replace a Front Brake Disc on 2009 Jeep Commander?
A: Your first step should be to lift and support the vehicle, then take the wheel and tire assembly out. Remark the rotor and hub/bearing so you put them back in place correctly, as front rotors and hubs are matched and designed for little sideways rocking. After that, remove the bolts (3) holding the adapter to the steering knuckle and take out the adapter. Make sure to tie the caliper anchor assembly to a close by suspension part so that the brake hose doesn't hold up the caliper. Release the o-ring (2) holding down the disc brake rotor (1) on the hub and after that, remove the disc brake rotor from the hub/bearing.
