2009 Jeep Wrangler Power Steering Pump Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Power Steering Pump on a 3.8L Engine on 2009 Jeep Wrangler?
A: To work on the power steering pump on a 3.8L car, first get rid of as much fluid as you can by taking off the cap from the power steering reservoir and draining it. After that, take away the air box assembly and unhook the pressure hose and supply hose from the pump. Remove the drive belt, then take out the three front mounting bolts that run round the pulley. After that, unfasten the pump from the pulley. If you have to install a new pulley, first read the instructions for removing the current power steering pump pulley.
