  • Q: How to Install Air Bag Sensors for Front and Side-Mounted Applications on 2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser?
    A: Fit the left front satellite acceleration sensor on the side radiator support and install it using two retaining screws tightened to 10.5 Nm (92 in. lbs.); after that, plug the SAS electrical connector. After that, insert the front lower grille. When fitting the right front satellite acceleration sensor, secure SAS to the side radiator support, use two retaining screws, tighten them to 10.5 Nm (92 in. lbs.), link the SAS connection and then attach the front lower grille. To use the side-mounted satellite acceleration sensor, fit SAS in the B-pillar so the connector is facing down and secure the retaining nuts up to 8 Nm (70 in. lbs.). Connect the electrical cable of the sensor and set the lower B-pillar trim in its place. It is important not to attach the battery negative cable until the system test has been executed, to avoid a serious or deadly incident.
