Initially, turn off the air bag system on vehicles having air bags by disconnecting and isolating the negative
Battery Cable and wait for two minutes for the capacitor to run down. It is important to purchase the correct A/C-heater control for your car, because controls vary depending on the model and model year. First, remove the negative battery cable, then take out the center bezel from the instrument panel and unplug any wire connectors linked to the A/C-heater control. Set the center bezel on a workbench afterward. After that, remove the four screws holding the A/C-heater control to the instrument panel center bezel and pull out the control. On installation, set the A/C-heater control in the center of the instrument panel bezel and secure it by tightening the four screws to 2 N.m (17 in. lbs.). First, attach the wire harness connector(s) to the A/C-heater control, set the instrument panel center bezel in place and connect the negative battery cable at the end.
