Q: How to Maintain the A/C Switch on Chrysler 300?
A:
Initially, turn off the air bag system on vehicles having air bags by disconnecting and isolating the negative Battery Cable and wait for two minutes for the capacitor to run down. It is important to purchase the correct A/C-heater control for your car, because controls vary depending on the model and model year. First, remove the negative battery cable, then take out the center bezel from the instrument panel and unplug any wire connectors linked to the A/C-heater control. Set the center bezel on a workbench afterward. After that, remove the four screws holding the A/C-heater control to the instrument panel center bezel and pull out the control. On installation, set the A/C-heater control in the center of the instrument panel bezel and secure it by tightening the four screws to 2 N.m (17 in. lbs.). First, attach the wire harness connector(s) to the A/C-heater control, set the instrument panel center bezel in place and connect the negative battery cable at the end.
Q: How to Install the A/C Switch and Start the Actuator Calibration Process on Chrysler 300?
A:
Mount the A/C-heater control in the carved-out part of the instrument panel using four screws tightened to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.). Join the wire harness connector to the A/C-heater control and put the instrument panel center bezel onto the panel. If it is a brand new control or the original is being installed on startup, the A/C-heater control will execute the Actuator Calibration function automatically. The Actuator Calibration function should be done manually with a scan tool if the same A/C-heater control was installed in an earlier vehicle. Following installation, attach the negative Battery Cable and use the scan tool to activate the Actuator Calibration function.
