Chrysler 300 Blower Motor Resistor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How Is the Blower Motor Resistor Installed on Chrysler 300?
    A:
To place the blower motor resistor, mount it inside the HVAC housing and hold it steady with two screws, turning them to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.). After this, plug the wire harness connector into the blower motor resistor and push the locking tab into place. Place the Glove Box in the instrument panel and then connect the negative Battery Cable.
  • Q: How to Remove a Blower Motor Resistor on Chrysler 300?
    A:
Before you remove the Blower Motor resistor, put the vehicle in park, unhook the negative Battery Cable so the air bags are disabled and let the system settle for two minutes. Give the blower motor at least five minutes to cool down after turning it off, since the resistor can become very hot while it's on. Don't attempt to use the blower motor without putting the resistor back in to prevent damage to your car. Start the process by taking out the negative battery cable and letting it hang loose. After that, remove the Glove Box from its place in the instrument panel. Press the tab locking the wire harness connector and unplug the wire harness connector from the blower motor resistor. After that, take off the two screws locking the blower motor resistor to the casing and remove the resistor.
