With the single zone, only one door actuator is needed because the blended air is sent to just one setting; the dual zone uses two separate door actuators, each for its own zone. Remove the driver's side instrument silencer at first, after that take off the three screws that hold the blend door actuator in the housing. Disconnect the actuator from its position in the housing and separate the HVAC electric connector. Secure the new actuator into its position in the vehicle so that the shaft coming from the actuator is aligned with the cam on the blend door. Secure the actuator with the screws and then tighten them to 2 N.m (17 in.lbs.). After that, reconnect the HVAC wire harness connector. Next, put the instrument panel silencer back in place and link the negative battery cable again.
