How to Service the Dual Zone Passenger Side Blend Door Actuator on Chrysler 300?

Frist thing to do is to cut off the battery's negative terminal and wait two minutes so that the air bag discharge capacitor won't intervene with the air bag system. Each zone on the dual zone system has its own blend door actuator. First, remove the glove box, then unscrew the three screws holding the blend door actuator on the HVAC's passenger side. Pull out the actuator from inside the housing and unplug the HVAC wire harness connector. When installing, set the blend door actuator into the vehicle and attach it to the passenger side of the HVAC housing, so the splines on each part line up. Position the actuator and drive in the screws, making sure they're no tighter than 2 Nm (17 inch-pounds) and then reconnect the HVAC wires together. After that, attach the negative battery cable and slot the glove box into your vehicle.

How to Install a Blend Door Actuator in an HVAC System on Chrysler Town & Country?

Hold the mode door actuator in place on the bracket below the air supply duct near the driver's seat and attach the harness connector, making sure the red tab snaps into place. Apply the mode door actuator to the bracket, gently rotate it to fit the splines with the mode door linkage and fasten the two screws that secure the actuator until they reach 1.2 Nm (10 in. lbs.). After that, slide the lower trim panel onto the passenger part of the instrument panel and bolt it in place. If your car has a filter cover, fit it under the passenger side of the instrument panel, fix the negative battery cable and adjust the A/C-heater control if needed.
