Both the front and rear friction scrolls have their own services, while the rear section of the A/C suction line is covered as an assembly with the liquid line. First, drain the refrigerant from the refrigerant system and take out the negative battery cable. Take off the air cleaner housing first and once that's out, remove the nut for the front section of the A/C suction line on the A/C compressor. Disconnect the A/C suction line from the AC compressor and take out and throw away the dual plane seal. Put a plug in or cover with tape the opened suction hole and the compressor inlet port. After that, take out the nut that fastens the front part of the suction line to the rear part and separate the two lines, removing the Dual Plane seal as you do. Home More to / Wrap tape over the opened suction line fittings and take out the front segment of the A/C suction line away from the engine compartment. To install the unit, just connect the front suction tube to an engine location and remove plugs or tape from the rear fittings. Oil the seal with clean refrigerant oil and fit it securely onto the suction line fitting, always relying upon a specific squeeze type for R-134a and recommended oil for the air conditioning compressor used with this refrigerant. Couple the front part of the A/C suction line to the rear section and fasten them with the nut, tightening it till it reaches 22 N.m (16 ft.lbs.). Peel or take out any plugs from the kicker fitting on the front of the suction line and from the inlet port on the A/C compressor, use clean refrigerant oil to oil a clean dual plane seal and put it over the front suction line end. Attach the A/C suction line to the A/C compressor and add the nut that holds it, tightening the nut to 22 N.m (16 ft.lbs.). Afterward, install the housing of the air cleaner, plug in the negative battery cable, drain the refrigerant system and refill the system.
