Using the depressor on the brake pedal, lock and move it down 1 inch before removing the tubes to the brake proportioning valve so that the master cylinder's brake fluid stays put. Raise the vehicle above the ground and make sure you clean both the proportioning valve and the brake tubes. Slide the four brake tubes off the inlet and outlet ports on the proportioning valve and then pull out the two bolts that attach the valve and bracket to the car. Slide out the bracket under the rear track bar mount, pull down the actuator rod and slide the valve out of the axle bracket and remove the proportioning valve. To start, push the actuator rod end through the hole in the axle bracket grommet and place the proportioning valve bracket right under the body bracket on the rear track bar. Use the hardware included with the proportioning valve and fasten all the bolts to a torque of 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.). Following that, put the four brake lines into the ports of the proportioning valve-inlet on top and outlet on the bottom-and tighten all the connecting tube nuts to 17 Nm (145 inch lbs.). Remember that you cannot adjust the height sensing proportioning valve and therefore shouldn't try. Drain all the air from the brake hydraulics before placing the car on the ground and use a road test to check if the braking operates correctly.
