The Shock Absorber has to do with suspension in Chrysler LHS automobiles; these are well known for their efficiency and durability. This Shock Absorber is designed and built to effectively act on shock impulses and alleviate them by providing a comfortable ride and better handling of the car amidst any kind of road surface. LHS has adopted both twin tube and mono tube shock absorbers made by Chrysler with their special characteristics. The construction of the twin-tube design is simple, and the company may add gas charging for improved sturdiness; however, the mono-tube design offers better heat dissipation and performance. Some of these additional functions including PSD and ASD enhances the controlling force offered by the Shock Absorber according to the driving conditions. Furthermore, technologies such as the el ectro rheological / magne to rheological dampers also provide semi active and adaptive suspension systems which has multiplicative effects in comfort as well as control. Thus correct compatibility with the diverse models of Chrysler LHS guarantees that the drivers will be the beneficiaries of the increased efficiency and safety, thus placing Chrysler LHS as one of the most favorable automobile in the global markets. Indeed, the LHS Shock Absorber - with its magnificent engineering and insistence on performance - is a significant component of the Chrysler's sturdiness, but, more importantly, it sustains the comfort for which the Chrysler LHS is famous. These promises cements the Shock Absorber as part of the elite components in the automotive market.

Chrysler LHS Shock Absorber Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Install a Shock Absorber in a Rear Strut Assembly on Chrysler LHS?
    A:
You should start by unlocking the three nuts connecting the rear strut assembly which are found due to accessing the passenger area and removing the rear seat, rear seat back, quarter trim panels and the rear parcel shelf trim. Unscrew the four screws connecting the rear speaker and mounting plate, cut the wiring loose and remove the speaker along with the plate. Jack up the vehicle, then place it securely on stands or a frame hoist; take out the rear wheel and tire together. Disconnect the rear caliper assembly from the adapter and be sure to store it without hanging it from its flexible hose. If the disc is not fastened, remove the rear braking disc from the hub and if your car has antilock brakes, pull out the wheel Speed Sensor from the disc Brake Caliper adapter. Take out the long bolt from the Lateral Links on the spindle and use a very narrow wrench to pull off the link stud nut that holds the stabilizer bar. Drive the pinch bolt out of the rear spindle to strut assembly, stick a center punch into the hole and hit it with a hammer until it pushes the casting open for removal. Pound the spindle into position using a hammer and a brass drift punch, so it will hang from the bottom of the trailing arm. Lift the car so the rear passenger compartment is accessible, remove the three strut assembly bolts from the rear strut tower and take out the whole strut assembly. Use the required steps for disassembling and assembling the strut assembly. Put the stabilizer bar connecting link onto the strut, secure it using a nut, washers and rubber isolators and place the strut back into the car, with the three nuts torqued to 25 Nm (19 ft. lbs.). Hold the vehicle up, add the lower strut, bolt the spindle to the strut assembly and tighten the pinch bolt to 53 Nm. Set the lateral links onto the spindle but make sure not to tighten the connecting bolt all the way at first. Connect the stabilizer bar link and use a crow foot wrench to torque the nut to 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.), while gripping the link stud. Afterwards, hook up the rear wheel, Brake Disc and brake caliper and make sure the latter is installed with a tightness of 22 Nm (192 inch lbs.). Tighten the wheel mounting stud nuts to 129 Nm (95 ft. lbs.), lift the car, place it on the ground, tighten the lateral link to spindle bolt to 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs.) and take a break until the lubrication dries. Link the radio speaker wiring, put in the rear speaker and its bracket, add the lower and upper quarter panels and finally pop in the rear seat back and cushion. Reset the TOE of your rear wheels to the manufacturer's standard if required.
