Before you remove the exhaust manifold, take off the negative battery cable, remove the right hood side panel and lift the vehicle on a hoist. Loose and take off the air conditioning compressor belt and at the same time undo the clamp from the
Catalytic Converter and exhaust manifold, since you can't use it again. Drop the vehicle and remove the right headlamp module from the car, along with the air conditioning compressor from the mounting mount and set them somewhere safe. Take out the dipstick and tube for engine oil and then take off the bracket holding the compressor to the engine. Lift up the vehicle again and take out the electrical connector from the mounted
Oxygen Sensor in the exhaust manifold prior to removing it from the manifold. Take out the screws and bolts securing all the shields and the manifold to the cylinder head, then get the manifold from below the car, between the frame rail and catalytic converter. Check the manifolds for any breaks or damage and check the surface of the cylinder head that holds them using a straightedge and thickness gauge. Install the new V-Band clamp on the manifold between the outlet flange and oxygen sensor boss and then connect the manifold to the cylinder head, tightening the bolts in the center and working your way outwards to a force of 200 in. lbs. secured the upper and lower heat shields to the manifold with screws tightened to 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.) and then added the oxygen sensor with the connector, tightening it to 28 Nm (20 ft. lbs.). Ensure the catalytic converter with a renewed V-Band clamp and then tighten it to 11 Nm (100 in. lbs.). Place the air conditioning compressor mounting bracket on the engine and check the O-ring on the dipstick tube; if damaged, replace it. First, put on the engine oil dipstick and its tube, then connect the compressor to the mounting bracket and screw on the bolts to 28 Nm (250 in. lbs.). After that, install the air conditioning compressor
Drive Belt, the right headlight module and the right hood side and then connect the negative battery cable.
