After using the Driver air bag as a result of a collision, the Driver air bag,
Clock Spring Assembly,
Steering Wheel and Complete Steering Column Assembly w/Lower Steering Column Coupler should be replaced. After any air bag airs, you should check and replace any other air bag and vehicle parts that appear damaged. After a Passenger air bag deployment, you must replace the Passenger air bag and Instrument Panel and Pad Assembly, along with other parts using proper procedure. When an Seat air bag is deployed, the Complete Seat Back Assembly must be replaced and you have to check for signs of damage in other parts. When an air bag goes off during a frontal collision, you must change the Front Seat Belt Buckle (Driver and passenger) with integral Tensioners and examine all other seat belts for cuts, tears, fraying or damage, replacing those that need to be. Also, look at the Lower Anchors and Tether for Children (Latch) child restraint anchors for any damage after a collision and have them replaced when necessary. When cleaning up, take the air bag by the sides or bottom and fold it back into the car's panel. If the cover is torn, tape it over the deployed air bag as well. Carefully use the vacuum to remove any staying powder indoors, begin from the doors and windows and don't forget to vacuum the air outlets as well. For Recirc settings, leave the
Blower Motor on low and vacuum all the powder dust that comes out of the A/c and heater vents.
