Before installing the timing chain, assure that every sealing area on the engine is clean and rid of grease and oil. Coat the cylinder head with Mopar(R) engine sealant RTV or an alternative to stop rubber seal from separating and do the same at the ladder frame to prevent other separations. Use Mopar(R) engine sealant or the equivalent, placing it in the corner between the
Oil Pan and block as well as a 2 mm bead along the edges of both. After that, put the timing chain cover beneath the vehicle and attach it using the upper retaining bolts, tightening M6 bolts to 12 Nm and M8 bolts to 23 Nm. After that, install the accessory drive
Belt Tensioner, right
Engine Mount bracket, upper idler pulley for the accessory
Drive Belt and right engine mount and drop the jack from underneath the engine. Put the
Power Steering Pump into place, lift the car and tie the oil pan to the timing chain lower cover retaining bolts. Work on tightening the timing chain cover retaining bolts, then share your attention to the water pump pulley and crankshaft pulley bolts. Connect the lower belt idler pulley, place the compressor mounting bracket with the compressor into position and smooth the accessory belt back into place. Fix the appropriate lower splash shield in, bring the car close to the ground and attach the cylinder head cover. Connect the electrical connectors of the coil, connect the PCV hose to the
PCV Valve and create the make up air hose. Install the
Power Steering Reservoir, windshield washer bottle and coolant recovery bottle and then fill in the cooling system. Following that, fit the air cleaner housing inlet, join the negative cable to the battery and set the engine cover in place.
