Dodge Caliber Yaw Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Install a Yaw Sensor on Dodge Caliber?
    A:
The first step is to link the wiring harness connector to the dynamics sensor. Carefully sit the sensor on the studs in the floor pan tunnel and mount it by tightening the two screws to 9 Nm (80 in. lbs.). Relocate the carpet tiles back to the way they were before and then slide on the shifter housing. In the end, associate the battery negative cable with the battery post to ensure it's securely connected, then carry out the Verification Test to remove any errors detected.
  • Q: How to Service a Yaw Sensor on Dodge Caliber?
    A:
Before reaching the Yaw Rate Sensor, you must disconnect and isolate the negative Battery Cable from the battery post. After that, remove the shifter housing and move the carpeting to expose the dynamics sensor. Loosen and remove the two nuts holding the dynamics sensor to the floor pan tunnel and next, take out the wiring harness plug from the sensor. After everything else is finished, remove the dynamics sensor. Be careful not to push or bump the Occupancy Restraint Module (ORC) which is near the vehicle dynamics sensor, as you work.
