How to Install a Washer Pump for Headlamps on Dodge Charger?

Make sure to use a new grommet as you start to install the Headlamp Washer Pump Motor. When assembling, line up the pump and push it all the way down into the reservoir cavity. After setting up the washer reservoir, plug in the electrical harness connectors to both the motors and sensor on the unit. Force the high pressure headlamp washer hose into the inlet until it snaps in place. Pour in the fluid you removed earlier and at the end, tie the battery negative cable.

Before touching the windshield washer pump, be sure the battery's negative cable is disconnected. Release the washer fluid into a clean bottle by unconnecting the front washer pump from the hose and using an interim hose to allow the release. First, detach the washer reservoir and then take out the pump motor, inspecting the grommet; a new grommet is needed when you install a new pump motor. Be sure to examine the grommet and select and use a new grommet while placing the motor into the opening until it is completely in position, all the while pushing it firm. After you've filled the reservoir with the previous fluid, secure it back in place and attach the battery negative cable.
