Before you can take out the right exhaust manifold, unplug the negative cable from the battery, then raise and support the car. Once finished, remove the hardware fastening the exhaust pipe to the engine's exhaust manifold and then lower the car. Lastly, join the exhaust pipe to the manifold and connect them with bolts, nuts and retainers, ensuring the torque is 34Nm (25 ft.lbs.). For the left exhaust manifold, unscrew any studs that came out with their nuts and apply stud sealer to those studs. Next, position the manifold and gasket, add conical washers and nuts, torque them to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.), put on the heat shields, place the vehicle supported on ramps and assemble the exhaust pipe to the manifold.
