How to Service a Power Steering Cooler on Dodge Challenger?

Before you do any service on the power steering fluid cooler, first disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery post. Take the power steering fluid from the pump reservoir and lift and secure the vehicle. Let's begin by removing the belly pan. After that, take out the hose clamp and the return hose from the steering gear at the cooler. After that step, unmaint the hose clamp and seal the tubing back to the reservoir in the cooler. Pull the cooler towards you by pressing on the cooler mounting clip tabs and removing it from the clips fastened to the cooling module.

How to Service and Repair a Power Steering Cooler for the SRT8/Police Package on Dodge Charger?

For Power Steering Fluid Cooler service on your SRT8/Police Pack, place the center tube of the cooler over the clips on the cooling module and move the cooler forward past the retaining tabs. Then, join the return hose (3) from the reservoir to the cooler's outlet (2) and attach it using the clamp (4). In the next step, place the return hose coming from the gear (5) into the cooler inlet (2) and hold them together with clamp (1). Following that, set the belly pan in place and lower the car. Attach the red wire (-) from the cable (2) to the battery's negative post. Finally, fill the power steering system and turn the steering wheel until fluid comes out.
