Service of the rear blower motor switch, only required for models with the optional rear heating and air conditioning unit, begins with isolating the battery negative cable from the circuit. Following that, unbolt the accessory switch plate where it is attached to the instrument panel. Turn the lighting socket in the opposite direction to separate it from the switch backing, then take the rotating knob off the motor switch stem at the front of the switch panel. Pull the sides of the accessory switch plate gently with a small screwdriver as you work to release the two snap clips on both sides of the rear blower motor switch housing. Place the rear blower motor switch onto the rear of the accessory switch plate, hold it in place and gently press until you hear it click, ensuring all switch clip retainers are completely held. Secure the knob on top of the rear blower motor switch stem so that the flat sides are matched up. After that, connect the illumination lamp socket to the switch housing behind the rear blower motor, mount the accessory switch panel back to the instrument panel and lastly connect the negative battery cable.
