The first thing to do before changing the blend door actuator is to disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. Get to the blend-air door motor by first removing the loose wire harness from the connector within the glove box opening. Unlink the connector on the end of the blend-air door motor handle and pull out the link. Then, find the three screws keeping the blend-air door motor attached and remove them, after that take out the motor. Install the blend-air door motor in the distribution duct and fasten it with the three screws tightened to 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.). Attach the retainer to the blend-air door lever by having it rest between the two sets of nubs before you snap shut. Place the blend-air door motor wire harness connector, slide the glove box back into place and reconnect the negative battery cable last.
