Always remember to follow safety steps before you replace the A/C evaporator. First, take out the heater-A/C housing from the engine compartment and next, remove the top cover of the heater-A/C housing. After that, disconnect the expansion valve from the evaporator coil and take off the fin sensing cycling clutch switch probe from the evaporator coil. Be careful as you pull the evaporator coil from inside the heater-A/C enclosure. Then, fix the new evaporator coil inside the bottom of the housing and reconnect the expansion valve and the cycling clutch switch probe onto the new evaporator coil. Then, replace the top cover onto the heater-A/C housing and restore the housing in its spot in the engine compartment. When you replace the front evaporator coil, add 60 milliliters (2 fluid ounces) of the required refrigerant oil to the refrigerant system which should be the recommended type for the vehicle's compressor.
