Before getting to the condenser, remember to notice where the radiator and condenser air seals are placed. You will have to place these air seals back at the proper spots later for the system to perform as it should. First, cut off the negative side of the battery cable and afterwards take the refrigerant out of the refrigerant system. Take off the radiator grille, remove the link between the discharge line and the opening to the condenser and put in plugs or tape over every open refrigerant line fitting. After that, pull out the liquid line from the condenser outlet and cover those fittings with plugs or tape. Get rid of the top radiator support on your car, then unscrew the nuts keeping the condenser to the right and left radiator core supports. When you install the air conditioning condenser, match the condenser mounting brackets to the screws of the radiator core supports, refasten the brackets with the nuts and tighten them to 11.8 Nm (105 in. lbs.). After installing the support, eliminate the tape or plugs from the fittings on the refrigerant line and bring it to the condenser outlet. Take the plugs or tape off the fittings on the discharge line refrigerant line and connect it to the condenser inlet. Position all the condenser and radiator air seals properly, replace the front radiator grille, attach a negative cable to the battery, empty the refrigerant system and once again fill it. Should the condenser be replaced, add 30 milliliters (1 fluid ounce) of refrigerant oil to the system using the special oil that comes with the service manual.
