First, take off and set aside the negative cable from the battery before getting the refrigerant from inside the system. Open the screw that fastens the A/C accumulator to the mounting bracket and likewise unscrew the fitting from the A/C accumulator inlet. Use plugs inside or cover with tape any openings in refrigerant piping. Subsequently, unscrew the screw holding the A/C accumulator outlet to the suction line jumper block fitting and pull the outlet away from the fitting, placing plugs or tape over the open refrigerant fittings. Unplug the A/C accumulator found under the hood of the car. Bring the outlet near the suction line jumper block fitting, push firmly, remove the tape or plugs, insert the outlet and tighten it with a screw to 13.5 Nm (120 in. lbs.). Take the tape down from the liquid line block fitting and A/C accumulator inlet, place the fittings in position, add a screw and secure firmly by tightening to 13.5 Nm (120 in. lbs.). Connect the negative cable of the battery, empty the refrigerant system and then charge it. Should you change the A/C accumulator, add 30 milliliters (1 fluid ounce) of refrigerator oil that matches the compressor in the vehicle.
