How to Install a Hazard Warning Switch on Jeep Liberty?

Before you fit the hazard warning switch, disconnect the negative battery connection, wait for the air bag capacitor to discharge and disable the supplementary restraint system. Attach the switch module into the radio opening in the instrument cluster and hook up the wire connector to the back of its housing. Use your hand through the radio opening and move the hazard switch in place, bringing the switch button through the instrument panel button opening until you reach the alignment pins. Push the rear of the hazard switch up until you feel the bracket's locks snap into the trim, then put in the top security screw and tighten it to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.). After that, slot the radio back into the instrument panel and restart the battery negative cable connection.
