How to Service and Repair the Horn in a Theft Security System on Jeep Liberty?

Before you service or repair the vehicle theft security siren, isolate the battery negative cable. Scroll through to where you can see an image of the engine compartment on the front end module carrier and locate the alarm siren module below the right front combination lamp unit housing. Plug out the front end module wire harness connector in the siren's connector receptacle. After that, uninstall the right front combination lamp unit near the vehicle's front end. Take out the screw that holds the siren to the mounting tab at the front end module carrier, right behind the right front combination lamp. Take off the siren from the engine department of the carrier when you are finished placing the other parts.

Locate the alarm siren module on the front extension of the right front wheel house panel and then install and tighten the two screws holding it in place, so that they are tightened to 6 Nm (50 in. lbs.). Reconnect the alarm siren module wire harness and again attach the black battery cable. To operate properly, your vehicle needs to have its alarm siren module configured in the Intrusion Transceiver Module after a new alarm siren unit is installed.
