On cars made for some specific markets that require headlamp leveling, first turn off the air bag system by disconnecting the battery negative cable, wait two minutes and then replace the leveling switch. Start by taking out the driver side inboard bezel on the instrument panel and after that, unplug the instrument panel wire harness connector from the headlamp leveling switch. Pull the lower latches on the switch toward you from behind the trim bezel, then rock the switch out from below. Squeeze the upper latch to totally remove the switch. Put the headlamp leveling switch housing against the hole for installation and push firmly until stuck and the latches engage. Bring the switch and bezel unit to the instrument panel, join the wire harness harness connector, return the driver side inboard bezel in place and complete by reconnecting the battery negative cable.
