How to Maintain a Stand-Alone Mirror Switch on Jeep Cherokee?

Before anything else, cut off and isolate the battery negative cable to service the stand-alone type power mirror switch. Lift the perimeter of the switch with a suitable wide flat-bladed tool to push on the snap clips that hold it in place. With the mirror switch pushed all the way forward so it releases from the car, disconnect the power mirror switch from the wire harness.
