When servicing the evaporator core, watch out for air-bags on vehicles and take necessary safety steps to keep them from deploying. Unbolt the housing and cover from the heater-A/C system first, then remove them. After that, remove the evaporator coil from the heater-A/C housing. New or relabored evaporator coils are installed at the bottom of the heater-A/C housing and the housing is re-attached. If you replace the evaporator, add 60 milliliters (2 fluid ounces) of refrigerant oil into the refrigerant.
