2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Brake Master Cylinder Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Properly Bleed a Brake Master Cylinder on 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
A: Bleed the new brake master cylinder through your brake system and through brake line-made bleed tubes and use a wooden dowel to push the pistons up and down a few times. Mount the brake master cylinder onto the jaws of a vise. After that, join the bleed tubes to the outlets on the cylinder and put the tube ends at the base of the reservoir. Put new brake fluid into the reservoir and press all the cylinder pistons into the brake with a wood dowel. Let the pistons go and let them move back with the spring, carrying out the bleeding until all air bubbles have disappeared from the hydraulic fluid.
