2000 Jeep Wrangler Brake Disc Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Brake Disc on 2000 Jeep Wrangler?
A: The first step in repairing or servicing the brake disc is to remove the wheel and tire and afterward the caliper. After that, take off the retainers holding the disc in place on the hub studs and unfasten the disc from the hub. If you have to service the disc shield, take out the front hub and bearing assembly first. When using a new disc, take off any covering from the disc surfaces with carburetor cleaner before joining it to the hub. After doing that, fit the caliper again and then connect the wheel and tire assembly.
