2001 Dodge Neon Blower Motor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Install a Blower Motor on 2001 Dodge Neon?
A: You don't have to take the unit housing apart to remove the blower motor on the bottom right of the unit. For those with air conditioning, the first thing to do is take off the scuff plate and roll the carpet back on the right. First, disconnect the motor's electric connection, remove the retaining screws and then carefully lower the motor unit out of the place it is mounted in. If your vehicle does not have air conditioning, unplug the wiring connector going to the blower, hold the blower motor and pull down the locking tab, then rotate the blower assembly around 1/8 turn in the opposite direction. In vehicles with air conditioning, move the blower motor into the housing inside the unit, set the retaining screws, wire the harness, restore the right side carpet and attach the right side scuff plate. If you don't have air conditioning in your vehicle, place the blower in the unit housing with the bowl down, turn it clockwise and push until you hear a click.
