How to Service and Repair a Front Engine Mount on 2001 Jeep Wrangler?

Before servicing or repairing the front engine mount, disconnect the negative cable from the battery and then raise the vehicle with its engine supported. Unscrew the through bolt nut and remove all bolts and nuts off the support cushions. Next, pull the through bolt and the engine mount insulator. If the engine support bracket was taken off, place it back on the block and screw in the attaching bolts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.) and the nuts to 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.) torque. Put the insulator onto the support bracket and attach the insulator retaining bolts and nuts, tighten the bolts to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.). After that, attach the through bolt and tighten the retaining nut to 48 Nm by turning the through bolt nut. After that, remove the engine support, lower the vehicle and reattach the negative cable to the battery.
