How to Safely Service the Heater Core with an Active Airbag System on 2002 Jeep Wrangler?

To service the heater core, disconnect the battery negative cable from the system, turning off the air bag system, and wait 2 minutes. Remove the heater-A/C housing to remove the heater core. For installation, place the heater core in the lower HVAC housing, re-assemble and reinstall the housing.
