2003 Dodge Dakota MAP Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Install a MAP Sensor on the Throttle Body on 2003 Dodge Dakota?
A: You can find the MAP sensor on the front of the throttle body, linked to it by way of an L-shaped rubber connector. First open the duct connected to the throttle, then unfasten the two mounting bolts to remove the sensor. When you take out the MAP sensor, slide the vacuum rubber fitting off the throttle body and release it from the sensor. First, fasten the rubber L-shaped connector to the MAP sensor, place the sensor on the throttle body so that the fitting goes over the vacuum nipple and fix the sensor with three 3 N.m (25 in.lbs.) torque bolts. At the last step, attach the air duct to the throttle body.
