2004 Dodge Dakota Brake Master Cylinder Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Brake Master Cylinder on 2004 Dodge Dakota?
A: First, cut off the brake lines from the brake master cylinder, disconnect the low fluid switch and then remove the things holding the cylinder in place to get it free. It is important to bleed the brake master cylinder before you put it in place during car repair. Then, connect the new brake master cylinder to the mounting studs for the booster, secure it with nuts you've tightened to 18 Nm (160 inch lbs.) and link the brake lines, adjusting their tightness to 19 Nm (170 inch lbs.). Connect the low fluid level switch again and next, fill and purge the base brake system.
