2004 Dodge Dakota Brake Booster Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Maintain and Fix a Brake Booster on 2004 Dodge Dakota?
A: Initially, take out the master cylinder and afterward, take apart the vacuum supply lines from the brake booster. Following that, remove the clip that tied the booster push rod to the brake pedal and take off the nuts securing the booster at each mounting stud. Following that, you should take out the front cowl panel's booster, spacer and gaskets. During installation, put the spacer and gaskets on the booster studs, push the booster studs through the holes in the cowl panel and place the booster on the panel. Screw the booster attaching nuts until you reach 28 Nm (250 inch lbs.), then place the booster push rod on the brake pedal and attach it with the clip. If you did not find the booster check valve, get a new one, attach the vacuum hose and mount the check valve back onto the booster before continuing. To finish, pump the brake system and release them as needed.
